Brain Leech

A small design challenge I set myself. I wanted to create more of a hero prop for the same world as my last piece (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/EVLbDK). The story behind the Brain leech is that the Thompson company found an old Russian space pod that contained an AI. Keeping this secret they began to try teach this AI emotions. They thought by letting the machine analyse peoples brains as they were subjected to different chemical imbalances it would learn how emotions work. Due to the delicate nature of the machinery in which the AI lived, they didn't dare move it but instead built the machine around the old space pod. Because of ethical reasons the Thompson company used death row convicts as their test subjects but this eventually led to disaster, as all the AI learnt was evil.
